Claire Marie Healy is a writer, editor and creative director working across film, fashion and image culture.

Working across books, magazines, exhibitions and cultural projects, she has edited and led creative direction on projects including On the Dance Floor: Spinning Out on Screen (A24, 2022), Beauty of the Beast: A Makeup Manual (A24, 2024), and most recently Short Form: 40 years of Music Videos, Ads, and the Art of Moving Images (Academy Films/Mack, 2025).

Formerly the editor of Dazed, she now consults on editorial strategy, narrative development and cultural research for brands and cultural organisations.

Her ongoing research project, Girlhood Studies, explores how visual culture shapes the experiences of young women, and has encompassed writing, talks, exhibitions and collaborations with organisations including the BFI, MUBI and MoMu Antwerp. Her first authored book, Girlhood, was published by the Tate in July 2023.

Her writing has appeared in places like The Guardian, Dirt, Mubi Notebook, Real Review, ArtReview, Cultured, Fantastic Man, Faber Journal, Buffalo Zine, Homme Girls, the Los Angeles Review of Books and others.
